Examination System

PRE-PRIMARY & PRIMARY SECTION (Pre-Nursery to V):

  • Pre-Nursery to KG will have continuous assessment.
  • Classes I to V will have two examinations of 100 marks each for all subjects and two Continuous Assessment Test (C.A.T.) of 20 marks for all subjects.
  • Pass mark for each subject is 40%.

PRE-SENIOR AND   SENIOR  SECTIONS (VI-X):

  • Pre-Senior and Senior section classes will have two examinations of 100 marks each for all subjects and two Continuous Assessment Test (C.A.T.) of 20 marks for all subjects.
  • Pass mark for each subject is 40%.

SENIOR SECONDARY SECTIONS (XI – XII):

  • Senior secondary section classes will have two examinations of 100 marks each (Including Practical and Projects) for all subjects and two Continuous Assessment Test (C.A.T.) of 20 marks for all subjects.
  • Pass mark for each subject is 40%.
Note:
  • Should a pupil be absent for any test/examination he/she will be marked absent.
  • No child is permitted to appear for any test/examination.  If he/she is suffering from any infectious / contagious disease.
  • Students must not take study leave unless granted by the School Authorities.
  • Promotion is decided at a special meeting with the concerned Teacher.  Hence, the Results declared are final and requests for reconsideration from detained cases will not be entertained.

CRITERIA FOR PROMOTION

PRE-NURSERY AND PRIMARY CLASSES (Pre-Nursery to V)

  • Students should appear for all three assessments / examinations for promotion.
  • Students should have a minimum of 75% attendance.  However, on ground of serious illness another 15% of lower attendance may be considered.  A Medical Certificate furnished after recovery from the illness must support this.

PRE-SENIOR SECTION (MIDDLE SCHOOL) (VI-VIII)

  • Pass Mark (Yearly) is 40%
  • All students must pass in SUPW and Community Service.
  • All students must pass in English which is compulsory.

Major Subject Groups:

  • Mathematics
  • Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
  • Environment Education
  • Geography, History & Civics
  • Second Language (Paper I and II)
  • Computer

Minor Subject Groups:

  • Third Language
  • Value Education/Bible

Promotion will be withheld on any one of the following conditions as applicable in the entire academic session:

  • Failing in English
  • Failing in Two of the Major Subjects
  • Failing in one Major and Two Minor Subjects

SENIOR SECTION CLASSES: (IX & X) (ICSE)

  • Pass Mark for each subject is 40%
  • A pass in SUPW and Community Service.
  • A pass in English which is COMPULSORY.
  • In addition to the above, a student must pass in all subjects of class IX to be considered for the ICSE Examination.
  • SENIOR SECONDARY SECTION CLASSES: (XI & XII) (ISC)

    • Pass Mark for each subject is 40%
    • A pass in SUPW and Community Service.
    • A pass in English which is COMPULSORY.
    • In addition to the above, a student must pass in all subjects of class XI to be considered for the ISC Examination.
    • Note:
      • Students whose attendance is below 75% of total working days in each academic session will ordinarily not be eligible for promotion.  However, the Principal may condone the shortage in the case of students whose minimum attendance is not less than 60% of the total working days in the session, on grounds of serious illness, provided advance written intimation supported by proper
      • medical certificate is submitted by the parents/guardians.

      UNFAIR MEANS: Attempt of any kind of unfair means/dishonesty during an examination/test by students may cause cancellation of the examination.

      Note:

      It is mandatory for all students to be fluent in English. They must speak in English in School Premises.
